Chelsea have a major goalscorer conundrum right now.
After years toiling with bad options, they decided to splash big cash on Romelu Lukaku, only for him to flop harder than everyone they had before.
That’s put them in a real hole, as they can’t roll the dice on a new option until they’ve found something they can do with him – which doesn’t look like it will be easy.
So the idea, as stated in the Gazzetta dello Sport quoted by SportWitness today, that they will let one of their only “free” options leave, is crazy.
It’s written there that Napoli want to sign Armando Broja, currently on loan at Southampton.
Now Chelsea may well consider selling him down the line. But given they are desperate for a goalscorer, and won’t be able to shift Lukaku to make room and funds for another one anytime soon, the idea that they might sell Broja is simply ridiculous.
