Thomas Tuchel has been told exactly what Armando Broja can add to Chelsea should he be given a chance in the first-team next season.
The Albanian is currently in the midst of a loan spell with Southampton and has impressed during his debut season in the English top-flight, where he has has eight goalss in all competitions for the Saints this season.
It follows on from the form in which he netted on 11 occasions for Eredivisie outfit Vitesse Arnhem, an impressive record which prompted Southampton to make a move for the player for this season.
The 20-year-old will be keen to continue those sorts of displays throughout the remainder of the season as he eyes a return to Stamford Bridge in the summer, and with Chelsea looking to sort out their striker issues, Thomas Tuchel may give him a chance
And ahead of the Southamptons’ weekend clash with Everton, Toffees boss Frank Lampard has been talking up his former player and has told Thomas Tuchel exactly what he could bring to the team..
“I gave him his debut,” Lampard told his pre-match press conference on Thursday.
“He’s a very good lad, very talented young boy. He’s fast, strong, has a real eye for a goal. He’s a very good young player, so I’m very aware of his strengths.”
Broja is definitely a player that could help that Chelsea attack. the way he plays, his physical presence and his ability to score, just what Tuchel needs
So we are fully expecting him to be given a chance in that Chelsea squad next season, especially as Tuchel needs to add some more goals to that attack.
But if Chelsea do decide to let the man leave, they could be making one big transfer mistake
