Manchester United have approached Antonio Rudiger’s entourage with a huge deal for the Chelsea contract rebel
Rudiger has been in the headlines alot over the past few months as there is alot of speculation about whether or not he will stay at Chelsea, or leave to join the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich or Juventus
It is no secret that Chelsea, who could lose up to three defenders in the summer window, are very keen to make sure that he stays at Stamford Bridge as he has been in fine form this season.
But those displays have only strengthened Rudiger’s belief that he should be one of the club’s top earners and he has an offer on the table from Real Madrid to move to Spain
Chelsea were taken aback at the start of the season when Rudiger demanded around £200,000-a-week but the Athletic claim those demands have since increased, with the defender now seeking around £225,000-a-week.
However, to fend off all interest in the player, IcFootballnews has now learned that the board have offered Rudiger a contract worth £250,000-a-week, and that’s before any signing-on fee.
But, according to Football Insider, Rudiger is a target for Ralf Rangnick at United.
The German has already made it clear he is hunting for a young striker, but United also believed to be hunting for a new centre-back.
United have already been working on a defender and, per the source, the club have “held preliminary talks over a deal” with Rudiger’s representatives.
United are said to be offering a “huge” deal to get the defender to Old Trafford. United officials have put a deal on the table worth more than £300,000-a-week.
If these reports are true and United have made an offer to get a deal done, Chelsea will surely be left fuming
