John Terry’s four-word reaction after Chelsea victory against Tottenham

John Terry reacted to Chelsea’s win against Tottenham this evening with a brilliant four-word message.

The Blues celebrated a 2-0 home win at Stamford Bridge against Spurs on Sunday. Second-half goals from Hakim Ziyech and Thiago Silva handed Thomas Tuchel’s side three valuable points in the Premier League, as they consolidated third in the table.

Chelsea legend Terry uploaded a brilliant post after a victory against great rivals Spurs.

“Some things never change,” ex-Blues captain Terry wrote.

Chelsea’s dominance over Spurs has remarkably seen them win four times against them this season, with two successes in the league and two in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

It provides some relief for Tuchel’s side by ending their poor run of form in the league.

Gary Lineker was impressed with the Blues performance today, too.

Chelsea earn breathing space

If the Blues had lost today, it would’ve felt like a long time until they next play in the league. There is a break for them in league matches until 19 February when they travel to Crystal Palace.

It’s a time where Chelsea are competing in various cup competitions, while rivals in the league make up some of the games in hand they have to play.

They are sat pretty in third right now looking a solid bet to finish in the top four, with landing in the Champions League spots the bare minimum for any manager in charge at Stamford Bridge.

There is an opportunity for teams below to close the gap, but the Blues should still be in a comfortable position. A lot of the focus in the second half of the season should be on trying to win at least one cup, plus picking up enough points to keep sides below them at bay.
