Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is out of contract in 2022 with no deal agreed with the club amid Real Madrid interest.
Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger’s exit from Stamford Bridge is beginning to look to a reality with Real Madrid now strong favourites to sign the defender.
The 28-year-old sees his contract end with the Blues in the summer of 2022 with the defender free to sign a pre-contract with foreign clubs from 1st January.
The defender’s agent – and brother – Sahr Sanesie has reportedly met with Real Madrid to discuss personal terms which is thought to be significantly more than Chelsea’s current offer.
German Champions Bayern Munich have also met with Sanesie as they hope to rival Los Blancos for Rudiger’s signature, with the interested warranted following his meteoric rise since Thomas Tuchel took over Chelsea last year.

The German was a pivotal piece of Chelsea’s European success and has become one of best defenders in the Premier League, with the Blue’s conceding just nine goals – the joint lowest in the league so far.
With Manchester United and Tottenham also increasing their interest, it is thought that Rudiger would prefer a move abroad with Madrid and Bayern the favourites to sign the defender.
Whether Chelsea opt to improve their offer remains to be seen, though as it stands, Rudiger will be leaving Chelsea in the summer.
Tuchel’s favoured replacement would be French centre-back Joules Kounde, who has already seen a failed bid last summer with Sevilla holding out for their £68m asking price.
A major defensive reshuffle may be on the cards with Andreas Christensen stalling on a new contract and 37-year-old Thiago Silva likely to depart with his deal expiring in the summer.
